Who need the printing roller?
Some customer want printing roller only, why do they only want the printing roller? Most of customer who want only printing roller, they are not carton factories, they are the factories for making flexo printing plate laminating machine.
After the carton factories buying printing slotting die-cutting machine, for the printing plate with smaller tolerance, they also need to buy a machine for laminating the resin printing plate on the printing rollers of the flexo printer slotter die-cutter.
So they will contact to the factories for the auto printing plate laminating machine. The roller on this machine, it has to match to the customers flexo printing machine’s roller. So they have to buy a printing roller for the laminating machine.
How to make sure the size of the printing roller?
Normally, when the carton factories buy a flexo printing slotting die-cutting machine, the machine factories will offer a drawing of the printing roller, it shows the length, diameter, and axle tips details, by this drawing we can confirm the size of the printing roller.
But we have to consider the channel position for fix the printing resin plate. One printing plate laminating plate can be with more resin plate fix channels for difference printing slotting die-cutting machines.
For example, if a customer have two flexo printing slotting die-cutting machine, they are in same model, then they have same size of printing roller. But the printing plate is difference size, then we only need one set of printing plate laminating machine for the two printing machines. Just there are 4 channels for two difference printing plate size. (each printing plate with 2 fix channels)
Then we need a drawing to show us the fix channel, like below
This drawing with lots of channels, then it can work with more printing machines.
Some time, the customer can not offer the detail drawing like this, then we need them to offer us the plate basic size. It is so simple, just measure the strip distance on two sides. Then we can know the fix channel position, the strip is just for fix on the channels. Like the picture below, there is a blue strip on the top, and a red strip at the bottom, we just need to confirm the distance between these two strip is OK
