Mill roll stand is a basic parts for the corrugated cardboard production line, whatever 2 ply corrugated cardboard production line and multiply corrugated paperboard production line, all of them need to be equipped with mill roll stand. Its function is for carrying the paper roll for feeding in single facer. If no mill roll stand, then the single facer can not work. As we know, the single facer is the key machine for making corrugated cardboard, then the mill roll stand is the assistance machine for single facer, it is an essential machine in the corrugated cardboard production line

Difference models of mill roll stand

By now, in the market we can find difference models of mill roll stand, it can be classified in 2 types, one is electric mill roll stand, the other one is hydraulic mill roll stand. The difference between these two types of mill roll stand is the arms moving.

The electric mill roll stand is an old type, its arms lift and down is drove by the main axle which is connected to the four arms. The main axle turning, then the arms moving. The problem is that, if one side arms lift, the other side arms have to be down. They can not both lift or both down, this is decided by its structure.

The hydraulic mill roll stand is advanced model, it also have 4 arms, and they can move separately. When this side arms lift, the other side arms also can be lift. It is much easier to operation when the production line working.

Difference models of mill roll stand are designed for difference model corrugated cardboard production line

As we know, the mill roll stand is for carrying the paper roll for feeding single facer, then its working speed and carrying weight is what we have to consider. The corrugated cardboard production line is developed to higher and higher speed, bigger and bigger working width, then the mill roll stand also have many new models to fit to the difference models of production lines.

Normally, we do not equip the electric mill roll stand in the multiply corrugated cardboard production line, because its carry weight is 2.5tonnes, and its working speed is slow. We only equip it to the 2 layer corrugated paperboard production line now.

Then for the multiply corrugated cardboard production line only adopts hydraulic mill roll stand, the lowest model of the hydraulic mill roll stand is V5B, then higher is V6B and V7B, higher model means higher speed and bigger weight.

Some people asked, how much weight difference can be for the paper roll, they can not big difference. That is wrong, because the production line width is from 1400mm to 3300mm, the maximum length of paper roll is two times bigger than the minimum length of paper roll, so the weight also can be 2 times difference.

Difference model mill roll stand also have difference bake system, the production line speed is from 120m/minute to 350m/minute, so the bake difference is also in big difference.

Mill roll stand is an assistance machine but essential

After introduction, we know, the mill roll stand play an essential role in the corrugated paperboard production line, but for cardboard quality control, it does not have effect on it directly. So we can say it is an assistance machine in the production line. Why we say it is an essential machine? Because if no mill roll stand, the complete production line can not work.
