Gluing machine is also called glue applicator
Gluing machine is the part which for apply glue on the difference single layer corrugated cardboard and paper, then it will go to double facer for press and bake to finish combination difference layers to be multi layer corrugated cardboard.
So the index to show whether the gluing machine has a good quality, we have to check when the gluing machine run in its maximum design speed, can it apply glue on papers evenly.
Then we can know, the gluing machine design speed is higher, then it is more difficult to apply glue evenly. So when we buy a high speed production line, the gluing machine quality is very important for producing high quality corrugated cartons.
Gluing machine has difference layer design to meet difference layer production line
The corrugated carton production line includes lots of machines, some machine, difference layer production line need difference quantity of the machine, and some machine, it will has difference layer to match to the difference layer production line.
For example, single facer, 3 layer production line needs 1 sets of single facer, 5 layer production line needs 2 sets of single facer. but the conveyor bridge, single layer bridge match to 3 layer production line, 2 layer conveyor bridge matches to 5 layer production line.
About gluing machine, in the production line, there is only 1 set of gluing machine, then it has difference layer to match to the difference layer corrugated carton production line. 3 layer corrugated carton production line needs single layer gluing machine, 5 layer corrugated paperboard production line needs 2 layer gluing machine, then 7 layer corrugated cardboard production line needs 3 layer gluing machine.
High intelligence applied in gluing machine
As I mentioned in the first paragraph, Higher speed of the gluing machine, it will be more difficult to apply glue evenly. So if low speed gluing machine, it will be easier to fulfill apply glue evenly. But when the gluing machine running speed is higher than 250m/minute, even it running in speed 350m/minute, we have to adopt some parts controlled by intelligence system.
In my company, the lowest speed is 200m/minute, then all of our gluing machine has an intelligence control system
