3 layer corrugated paperboard production line is an popular model in world, and it is also named single wall corrugated cardboard production line. As its name mentioned, it can produce 3 layer corrugated cardboard. If you want it to produce 2 layer corrugated paperboard, it is simple, just add one NC slitter scorer in the line is OK, then it can produce both 3 layer and 2 layer corrugated cardboard.
Because it only can produce 3 layer corrugated cardboard, so if the client has fix customers and only need 3 layer paperboard, then it is a good option for client. About 3 ply corrugated paperboard, it is good for packing some light product, also can for some a little heavy product, but the weight of product can not too big. Sure, difference flute type make sure the difference strength of the corrugated cardboard. Because 3 layer corrugator line only have 1 set of single facer, then if want to produce difference flute corrugated cardboard is a problem.
Years ago, one single facer only can be with 1 flute type, it limits the carton manufacture to explore market. Some carton factories by more pairs of flute roller to solve this problem, but if changing the flute roller, it need the professional workers and it will take more than 8 hours for changing. So it is not a good solution for more flute type production. Now, we can produce cassette type single facer, this single facer with a cassette which special for putting flute roller in it. Easy to take out and put in the single facer. Then carton manufacture only need to buy more cassette with difference flute roller, then they can change flute type simply. And changing flute roller only take 8-10 minutes.
