Paper roll feeding system for corrugated cardboard production line
The full corrugated paperboard production line with a big capacity each day, then the paper roll as its material is needed a big quantity every day. The paper roll with a big heavy, then how to feed the paper roll to the corrugated line is a key link for make sure the producing speed of corrugated cardboard.
The oldest feeding machine is paper roll stand, it is a simple equipment, there are 4 arms of this machine, each 2 arms, has one axle. When we feed the paper roll, we have to carry the paper roll to the stand, and take the axle out of the stand, then fix the axle with paper roll to the stand. And the workers feed the paper to the single facer manually. When the single facer running, the stand will feed the paper continuously.
Some years later, we have a mechanical mill roll stand, its main difference is the stand without axles for holding the paper roll, and no need people to carry the paper roll to the stand, in both sides of the mill roll stand, there are 2 railways, and there is a cart on each railway. Workers just need put the paper roll on the cart, then push the paper roll to the mill roll stand. Then control the arms of mill roll stand to clamp the paper roll and hold it up. It is more easy than before.
In line with the corrugator line width is bigger and bigger, the mechanical mill roll stand can not hold big size paper roll because of its heavy weight. Then the hydraulic mill roll stand is on the market, it suit to heavier paper roll and higher running speed corrugator line.
Accompanying it is the electric rail and cart. Too heavy paper roll, even push it on the rail, it is still difficult. If we use the electric rail and cart to take the paper roll, it is more simple, just put the paper roll on t he cart by forklift, then the subsequent process is only controlled by buttons.
And later, there is a another type of rail and cart come out, the hydraulic rail and cart have more advantages than electric rail and cart, but they have same function.
It is so easy for putting the paper roll on the mill roll stand now, but still workers to feed the paper into single facer. When changing paper roll, we still have to turn off the single facer, and after feeding by manually, we turn on the single facer again, it is still a complex process. Auto splicer is just for solve this problem.
The paper roll which is not feeding in the single facer, we just need to feed the paper into auto splicer, then when the paper roll which was running with single facer was finished, the auto splicer will feed the paper into the single facer automatically and no need to stop the single facer.
Logistic system for paper roll feeding
All things look perfect now. But technology will be higher and higher in line with the market changing all the time. The labor cost is higher and higher in world, All bosses of carton making enterprise consider little cost on labor, then choose the equipment which can be instead of workers if a good selection. Now we even do not need the forklift to put the paper roll on the cart. We have intelligence conveyor and logistic system to take the paper roll to the cart of mill roll stand. We just input orders in the system, the logistic system will take paper roll to the mill roll stand which needs to add new paper roll.
